Shipping & lead time
How orders leave the factory, and what has to be agreed before they do. Rates and transit times are quoted per order: they move with fuel, season and destination, so a published number would be wrong by the time you read it.
Three ways to move an order
Sea freight
Full or part container. Lowest cost per unit and the usual choice for a full production run. The longest transit, so it wants a delivery window planned around the season.
Air freight
For mid-size orders that have to land before a gifting date. Cost tracks volumetric weight, which matters for boxed gift items.
Express courier
Samples and small quantities, door to door. This is how approval samples normally travel.
Incoterms and what each one covers
Which term applies to your order is agreed on the quotation. The split of responsibility below is the standard one.
| Term | Who books the freight | Who clears import |
|---|---|---|
| EXW | Buyer | Buyer |
| FOB | Buyer (from port of loading) | Buyer |
| CIF | Seller to destination port | Buyer |
| DDP | Seller | Seller |
Freight cost, port of loading and destination charges are confirmed in writing with the quotation for your specific order and volume.
What sets the lead time
The order runs through the four stages set out on the wholesale page. What follows is what makes that timeline longer or shorter, and what gets fixed in writing.
What we quote against
Design, quantity per design and the amount of customisation. A repeat of an approved specification is the fastest case; a new insert shape or a foiled logo adds a tooling and approval step before production can start.
What is on your side
Sample approval. Production cannot start until you have signed off colour, mechanism and packaging on a physical sample, so your turnaround there sits directly in the timeline.
What you get in writing
The quotation carries the lead time for your specific order, and the purchase order fixes it along with the delivery window, the incoterm and the carton marking.
Next step
Request a quotation
Send us the designs, the quantity and the market. You get a written quotation with unit price, carton data and a lead time for that specific order.
